The way I see it in the context of Psalm 46 where nations are in uproar, and kingdoms fall over Jerusalem is that there is a Middle East war. <br />God says He makes wars cease and destroys the weapons, so "be still" could mean a cease fire from the war He is describing, leading to the peace that only He can bring.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3395479833005908019.post-88643633169966233362011-07-01T04:24:45.435-05:002011-07-01T04:24:45.435-05:00I've just come across your blog via a search f...I've just come across your blog via a search for images of Psalm 22 for some research I'm doing. There seems to be a reality that we don’t like and don’t fully understand. God’s love for us goes way beyond our trials here on earth. Consider children who are molested and abused or adults who endure rape and human trafficking as well as starvation and famine…none of these things are a result of their own doing. Life here is so brief and there seems to be no limiting for the suffering of anyone no matter how innocent but God’s love is eternal. He promises to be with us during our trial and he promises to bring us home with him for eternity. I don’t fully understand it and I don’t like the reality, but I do trust God. I think questioning gives you a stronger faith so go ahead and question…God can handle it.Pastor Doughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01556601168913729703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3395479833005908019.post-24260244102704035412010-03-10T02:15:20.395-06:002010-03-10T02:15:20.395-06:00Sometime all of it is hard to comprehend. . .
