Day 250 (Thursday) - Lamentations 1:1-3:51

Lamentations is a book that sticks real close to the title. It’s a lament over the destruction of Jerusalem and the exile of the people. Tradition says that Jeremiah wrote the book and that is a real possibility but it is impossible to tell from the text itself. Jeremiah is in a strange place because he has been vindicated but the vindication came at the price of total destruction. Lamentations is a great title for this work.
